Going Deeper- Session #1- "Masterpiece"

Fearfully and wonderfully made... These aren't terms we would necessarily use to describe "us" are they? But as we saw on Sunday night, David used these terms to describe the "knitting" that God did to form our bodies. If it weren't enough to know that it was God who created us and that it is God who knows every detail of our lives before one of them happens, how much more crazy is it to know that the same God who knows the little tiny details of our lives, also hold creation in His hands? Join us this Thursday night at Matt & Amanda's house as we discuss further this idea that we are God's Masterpiece's.
To help you dive in further with this message, use these questions to guide you throughout this week and to help prepare you for Thursday night!

1. When you read the word "Materpiece", what do you think of?
2. Do you feel that you are God's Masterpiece? Why or not?
- What is standing in the way of you buying into this idea?
3. Knowing that you are God's masterpiece, do you feel humbled or proud? Why?
4. Re-read Psalm 139. What types of thoughts and feelings come over you as you read these words?
5. Read Isaiah 40: 25-26. Knowing that God is the creator and sustainer of all things- including the billions and billions of stars in the known universe, how does this change your view of God?
- Does a God this big and knowledgeable give you peace or make you afraid?
6. Think about the earth's size in comparison to some of the other stars and planets you saw on Sunday night...why would God choose to use earth as the place where all of human history would take place?
7. Are you more like a knit hat or a cheap t-shirt- A.K.A.- Do you feel more like a unique design of yourself or just another teenager? Why?
8. What do you think God is trying to teach you through Psalm 139 and Isaiah 40:25&26?

We hope to see you Thursday night at 7pm!
